Using Calcium chloride in order to melt snow
During the winter a lot of snow falls in Beit Jann, which causes
the roads to get blocked.
We can melt snow on roads and roadsides with various salts, but the
best and the most efficient for this purpose is: calcium chloride.
The operating principle: within minutes, the calcium chloride absorbs moisture
from the ice or the snow, causing lowering the freezing point of the aqueous
solution created. In the process, the bond between ice and sidewalk tiles is
broken, and the melting of the snow and ice begins.
