We have two cups. one of the cups with sand and
the other with water.
I put the two cups on the same table, so they
get the same amount of temperature from the sun.
I left the two cups the same time on the table.
The sand was hotter than the water.
The reason that the sand got
hotter faster than the water is because the specific heat of sand is lower than
the specific heat of water. so, the sand took less light energy to change its temperature.
