Air Pollution
Question:

Millions of tons of gasses (CO2, SO2, NO2, CO) are emitted annunally into the atmosphere due to industrial emissions and anthropogenic influence.  These gases are in, but the heat from the ground into the atmosphere does not dissipate in trapped in the atsmophere and create a one-way barrier: sun rays can penetrate space, which results in global warming.

How air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions can affect animals and plants metabolisim, and geographic distribution ?
0 People tried to answer this question

Due to a rise in temperature because of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, animals will continue to live in their environments, they change their metabolism as environmental conditions change, and the ecological balance will not be harm.
Due to rise in temperature because of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, habitat of different species of animals and plants are expected to change, and the ecological balance may be affected .
Due to a drop in temperature because of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution, habitat of different species of animals and plants are likely to change and the ecological balance may be affected.
Due to a drop in temperature because of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, animals and plants change their metabolism in a short time and get along with this change, and will not harm the ecological balance.

The topic is interesting and regards the daily interests of students. The movie explained what air pollution, its causes and effects are. Nonetheless, the movie was too simple and too general. In my opinion, I think it should deal with a specific matter of air pollution. Instead of the movie I would have write a short text explaining the topic and give one example of consequences due to air pollution based on media. Moreover, the movie is not original. A genuine picture of Haifa bay and an article can underlie the topic to the daily life of students and may include educational aspects and raising awareness.

I suggests to choose wether to ask about one effect of air pollution, for example, to mention that air pollution causes asthma and breathing problems and ask – why it is important to avoid physical activity outside while the pollution rises in certain days. Another option is to ask about greenhouse effect after an explanation of this phenomenon.

The movie doesn't give any additional knowledge to 7th grade students and doesn't regards and question you ask. The question deals with greenhouse effect. In my opinion the question should include a definition or you can add a reference to this issue in your information points.

The information points delt with effects of climate changes on living creatures. However, no remindess of the association between air pollution – climate/weather  change and organisms. In my opinion, one of the information point should be based on the next link:

http://www.hayadan.org.il/constract-conseqences-for-air-pollution-030112

More suggestions and conclusions:

1.       There is no connection between the movie about air pollution, greenhouse effect and information point about climate change and organisms. Therefore, choose one topic, define it and ask a relevant question. The information point should give additional knowledge such as educational aspects, other effects of the phenomenon and associate all to daily life of the students.

2.       To add in your information point an educational aspect, for example, how to avoid air pollution (recycling).

3.       Pay attention to your English grammar, such as, capital letter in the middle of a sentence with justification in the information points, for instance, in precipitation distribution: "the frequency High of droughts over the past decade…"

4.       and clarity of the text, for example in one of the answers:

Due to a rise in temperature because of greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, animals will continue to live in their environments, the fact that they change their metabolism as environmental conditions change, and the ecological balance will not be harm.

You should erase the phrase "the fact that…". Otherwise the sentence is difficult to understand.

The topic and the question are interesting and related to the everyday life of students all over the world.

I agree with the comment of Gavish Ifat about the video, that it exposes the topic of “air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions” in a general way.

The points on the map add information by giving examples about the effect of climate change and air pollution on people, animals and plants.

The video and the points on the map don’t explain the connections between greenhouse gases-animals and plants-air pollution.

I suggest you to add more information (before the question) that will help to understand the subject and will be useful for answering the question.

1.    You can add explanation about the greenhouse gases (for example, https://www3.epa.gov/climatechange/ghgemissions/gases.html ).

2.     You can add a picture/ an animation/ a video that will explain the connections between greenhouse gas-animals and plants-air pollution, (as an example by using carbon cycle process, http://cdn.phys.org/newman/gfx/news/hires/2015/1-howtropicals.jpg ).

Good Luck!

I like the idea of the question, which could help to raise the awareness of the influences that air pollution could cause.

the question has short of text to understand the background of this subject, also you did not mentioned any information of the gases that cause the greenhouse gas emissions , I know that there are lot of people that have no idea what it is, so I would recommend you to add definitions and explanation about this phenomenon,

I also recommend to add information about the systems of the body that may be effected by this pollution, and then to add this video to conclude.

Also in the video, it was not mentioned about the greenhouse gas emissions.

When you said “influence” the living organisms on the question you did not said their health.

Here is two websites;

one website shows the influence of the air pollution:

https://cleantechnica.com/2016/05/28/air-pollution-leads-heart-disease/

and the second website is showing the air pollution in Israel:

http://aqicn.org/map/israel/

That is my opinion, good luck

Hi Ifat,
First of all thank you for your rich opinions and suggestions.we noticed that we should add a scientific explanation that links our main idea to the question. We also took into account your suggestions related to language and grammar.

Thank  you Hoda for your reply.
According to your suggestion,we aded a dependent vaeiable, that Affected by climate temperature rise that caused by air pollution. Thank you also for your vedio's suggestions.

Hi Hoda :

first of all thank you for coming by :) .

I'm glad that you like the question .I read your comment and we took into account your  notes , and we will manage to adjust every note you wrote , i.e that there is people may not know the greenhouse gasses and we should explain that for them . we also considered the misunderstanding that the question can cause for students .

thanks for the links that you inserted .

thank you
